The untether experience offers a retreat into nature to seek out rest, relaxation and reconnection. Contemporary havens of comfort and beauty for the writers, the lovers, the thinkers and the explorers.
Our Olive View luxury pods are situated on a farm just outside of the town of Wellington, which is about a 60 minute drive from Cape Town. A 6km dirt road that turns into a brick road will get you to the farm. You will need to drive slowly, but the farm is accessible by small car.
Populated by an orchard of old olive trees and abundant, fragrant fynbos, the quiet call of the country creates a sense of seclusion and privacy for our guests - with a keen focus on modern design and comfort in the pods themselves.
The farm is 100% off-grid, solar powered and eco-friendly, with no chemicals used in the cabins and most of the farm’s original landscape preserved.
One of the best parts about escaping away to the wilderness is that feeling of leaving the rest of the world behind. That's why none of our pods will ever be within shouting distance of one another.
Each of our three 45m² off-grid eco pods sleep two, providing a luxe retreat for you & your loved one to think, write, love & explore together.
A fully equipped kitchen
We know what it's like to chop veggies with a blunt knife and we're not going to put you through that. Our kitchens are stocked with top quality equipment and include a 2-plate gas stove, crockery, cutlery, utensils, fridge, freezer & coffee plunger.
Blazing fast internet on demand
We know that staying connected can sometimes get in the way of reconnecting with nature, and with yourself. That's why we like to always give our guests the option of having the wifi switched on, or off.
A dedicated workspace
We know your trip might not be all play and no work. For those looking for a change of scenery to inspire meaningful and mindful productivity, we ensure that you have a dedicated workspace and fast wifi available - when you want it.

Slack Packing
We know that half the hassle of going away can be the preparation that goes into it. So while you’re welcome to self cater, you can also allow us to provide you with slackpacking meal kits full of local produce & ingredients. Have fun following a new recipe, snap a pic for Instagram, and enjoy eating without any worry or waste.
House Keeping
It’s a five star experience without the fuss. Whether you’re here to work or play, there’s lightning fast, reliable wifi turned on or off at your request. The option of self or assisted check-in means you can have as much or as little interaction with our team as you’d like, and free housekeeping only if you choose to make use of it.
The untether philosophy is all about providing our guests with an unforgettable stay that requires minimal planning or preparation on their part. First came slackpacking - the option of ordering chef-standard meal kits to have ready and waiting in the fridge on arrival at your pod.
Now we’re adding itineraries to our offering - guides full of suggested things to do and see during your time with us. we want to help you curate the perfect getaway, whether it’s an adventurous, romantic or food and wine-centred experience you’re after.
These include activities both on and off the farm, some of which you’ll have the ability to add on to your reservation when booking so that we can help to book and co-ordinate them on your behalf.
