Welcome to Paradise Adventures! We are adventure guiding specialists based in George, part of the well know Garden Route Area, within South Africa. We offer very personalised adventures and day trips. The outdoors is our playground and there is no one that knows it better than us.

Paradise Adventures takes you off the beaten track and show you something different, taking you to places few people have seen on the Garden Route! Most of the trips are done to secret spots not even known to most locals. We are all about facilitating real adventure experiences and can customise any trip to your abilities and needs. Even if you have your own trip in mind and just need some experience onboard, we are here to help.

You can be assured all trips are facilitated by a guide who has a lifetime of experience! An awesome experience with raw adventure is always guaranteed and will without a doubt be the highlight of your time in South Africa.

Paradise Adventures is owned and run by Marthinus Esmeyer a professional adventure sports athlete with a degree in Conservation, who has a lifetime of experience in extreme and mainline sports.  He has raced mountain bikes professionally around the world, competed in adventure races such as the Land Rover G4 Challenge (SA selections) and been selected for numerous other prestigious events.  Navigated and climbed mountain ranges around the world and whitewater kayaked and canyonned down countless rivers, some first descents. In short has spent his life exploring the great outdoors!

CANYONING / KLOOFING

Kloofing is the South African term for ‘Canyoning’ where one descends down a river within a canyon or ravine. This may entail scrambling/climbing over rocks/boulders,big jumps, abseiling down waterfalls and waiding/swimming!

Various route options exist from 2hours to 8 hours with more extreme options available including multi day trips.  Custom trips are done in various other canyons not listed below and to other areas on request. All trips are a personal guided experience, guaranteed to be very different from anything else out there and focused to give the client the best possible experience.   

Durations times below are just an average, it will vary depending on your group size and fitness level. You are provided with a wetsuit, helmet, life-jacket and harness for this activity.

Rates:

• Adventure canyon tour: This is the full canyoning experience, highly rated and best trip in the country. Scenic swims, waterfall jumps and abseils/belays down waterfalls. (+-4hrs): R1480p/p   
• Kaaimans tour: Scenic swims and optional cliff jumps  (+-4hrs ): R900p/p 
• Swart river tour: this trip is a combination of kayaking and kloofing, nice introduction section to the kloofing experience. (3hrs): R750p/p 
• Multi day Canyoning expeditions available on request!

ROCK CLIMBING

This can be done by anyone from any age who is looking for a new thrill. We will show you the best sport climbing routes in the Garden Route (George area) and facilitate a safe climb! Also perfect for kids birthday parties, out in the mountain!

Rates: 

• Top rope climbing (2-3hrs): R850pp
• Deep water solo experience (1-2hrs): R500pp

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Guided MTB rides can be done on various trails around the Garden Route. These are catered to your skill and fitness level. MTB holiday packages are available, where all is taken care of for you, from transport to accommodation. Every day you will be riding different trails and the best single track the area has to offer. Please contact us for a customised mountain bike tour.

MOUNTAINEERING

Custom made mountaineering trips or hikes to various locations around South Africa are available on request. These trips are catered to your needs, experience and fitness level. You can be guaranteed an experience you will never forget ! Equipment can also be rented.

KAYAKING

Two seater kayaks are available to rent and can be dropped of at various locations. If you want a guide this can also be arranged. We have a few recommended spots we will advise on that will take you away from the crowds.

• Custom trips enquire for price.
• Guided 3hr trip (R650pp) - kayak to a scenic waterfall surrounded by indigenous forest. At this location we stop for a picnic and swim. You can bring your own picnic or we can provide one at an extra cost.
• Self guided, kayak rental R500 for a two seater kayak for 4hrs
