Kleinbaai is situated 3 km outside of the town of Gansbaai, in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, South Africa. A gravel road connects Kleinbaai along the rugged coast with many rock pools to the lighthouse at Danger Point. Although not very suitable for cars (even 4x4's struggle with this road), this track along the coast is a beautiful hike.
Because of its close proximity to Dyer Island, and the world famous "Shark Alley", Kleinbaai's small harbour is home to many boat based tour operators that specialise in the Great White Shark expeditions, and tours to Dyer Island. The nature-based tourism in Kleinbaai and its surrounding areas is fast becoming well known around the world. Kleinbaai has a wonderful tidal pool perfect for children, and a golf course with a sea view, which means that many families prefer the little village.
The village and surrounds has a variety of accommodation options available from Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts to Self-catering units.
